TV chef Antony Worrall Thompson is expanding his branded food empire with a range of luxury chocolates.

The bearded gourmet, who already has 50 lines across 10 categories in his brand portfolio, follows culinary rival Gordon Ramsay into the chocolate arena.

Worrall Thompson has worked in conjunction with chocolate makers House of Dorchester to develop his 16-flavour Original Chocolate Collection, which comes in a tube-shaped box and retails at £5.99 for a 200g box.

Ramsay teamed up with Ashbury Confectionery to launch the Just Desserts range earlier this year.

The new collection, which hits Waitrose shelves and Tesco Metro outlets next week, and then rolls out to other independent retailers, sports both horizontal and vertical branding, which House of Dorchester said increased merchandising options for retailers.
