The closing date is approaching for entries to the Food and Drink Federation’s 2004 Community Partnership Awards.
The awards, organised by The Grocer’s sister company William Reed Events, aim to provide a showcase for activities in Corporate Social Responsibility. Entry deadline is December 5.
In the inaugural awards in March, DEFRA secretary of state Margaret Beckett presented Unilever, Macphie of Glenbervie and Cadbury Trebor Bassett with Gold Awards for community initiatives. The awards, which will be presented at the FDF’s President’s Dinner on March 25, have been split into three
categories with a Gold, Silver and Bronze award in each.
The categories are: large companies of 250 or more employees; small companies of 249 or fewer employees; and pilot schemes in a limited area with a view to rolling it out into a larger project.
