This is the first picture of Cadbury's Lord of the Rings offering for this Christmas. The Grocer first revealed how the confectionery giant planned to use its licence over the festive period earlier this month. But contractural obligations prevented the chocolate maker from releasing any pictures of its range until New Line Cinema, which is overseeing commercial agreements for the trilogy of films based on JRR Tolkien's books, had approved the artwork. That agreement has now been reached and the images above show what consumers can expect from the Lord of the Rings selection box (rsp: £3.99) and Advent calendar (£2.99) in the run up to Christmas. A third product, Saruman's Staff, contains seven bars of Cadbury's Dairy Milk packed in a long tube resembling the fictional wizard's favourite magical prop (£3.99). Cadbury spokesman Chris Morgan said: "All parties are now happy with the artwork." {{P&P }}
