Glisten has unveiled David Wallis as its new chairman, replacing Jeremy Hamer with immediate effect.
The confectionery and snack ingredient specialist said Hamer (pictured, left) had decided to step down “to dedicate more time to his many other interests”.
Wallis, 62, has been chairman of tool hire firm Speedy Hire since 2001, and is also currently chairman of Directorbank. He is a former group managing director of Merchant Retail Group and has held directorships at Bakkavor, Robinson Healthcare Holdings and GCG Holdings, among others.
“David has a wealth of experience across many businesses and market sectors including food and consumer goods,” said chief executive Paul Simmonds (pictured, right).
“We believe the skills he has acquired during his time in both the private and public company arena will be integral in supporting Glisten’s continued growth strategy in the coming years.”
Glisten also revealed today that sales for the first five months to the end of November were up 12% to £32.7m.
