Till receipts of up-for-sale soft drinks brand Sunny D have plummeted by almost 30% in the last year, according to Information Resources.

It takes the brand’s annual sales total in multiple grocers in the year to September 6 down to just £27m, some £130m less than in its heyday at the end of the 1990s. Brand experts said the poor figures would not help brand owner Procter & Gamble’s search for a buyer.
