Graham’s The Family Dairy has snapped up Scots processor Claymore Dairies.
The deal, for an undisclosed sum, adds more than 70 staff to the Graham’s payroll and will boost the company’s annual revenues to more than £50m.
Claymore operates depots at sites in Dingwall, Fort William and Wick as well as its main production facility at Balmakeith.
“Claymore Dairies is a good business with excellent processing facilities,” said Graham’s managing director Robert Graham (pictured). “The dairy and its employees will become an immediate part of the Graham’s family business and will bring our team to over 400."
He added: “This will be Graham’s most northerly location and will give us not only more capacity but additional flexibility to our customer offering. We will bring more than 70 years’ experience to the community and hope our investment will help the business flourish again.”
Graham’s supplies ice cream and organic milk to customers including Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose.
