The Scottish Executive has indicated it will give the green light for two expansion plans at USS's Gyle Centre in Edinburgh. One proposal is to extend the shopping centre itself, also by 30,000 sq ft. However, if planning permission is formally ratified, the Executive has told Edinburgh City Council it does not expect any further expansion to take place in the Gyle area.
