Global retailer Ahold said its joint venture with Scandavavian food group ICA are to create a new 50/50 venture with Dutch insurer Aegon and ICA Banken to offer financial services in the region.

ICA Ahold will sell a 50% stake to Aegon in ICA Banken to provide both banking and insurance services at ICA outlets.
