IGD has launched a new academy aimed at equipping industry workers and their companies with the skills they need to succeed.
The academy will offer members a range of in-business training courses, as well as in-class training at refurbished facilities at IGD's Hertfordshire HQ.
More than 3,000 workers are expected to receive training through the academy over the next year, up by 50% on last year.
Speaking at this week's IGD Conference, IGD president and Sainsbury's CEO Justin King reiterated the need for the industry to continue attracting and training the best staff.
