Dale's marketeer

Northern Ireland's largest Dairy business Dale Farm has appointed Andrew Nethercott as group commercial director. He will be responsible for all consumer-based sales and marketing activities across the group. Nethercott was formerly UK sales director for Anheuser-Busch and has worked for Bass Ireland and Bass Brewers.

FSA career break

Joy Whinney, Food Standard Agency director for Wales, has decided to take an extended career break, and will be stepping down on 1 October. Whinney was appointed in May 2000, having previously been involved in public health policy since 1996, and was responsible for the establishment of the Agency in Wales.

CERT expands team

Logistics specialist CERT Group has appointed two new senior managers to its drinks arm, following a period of significant growth over the 2006 Christmas period. Graham Hough joins as business development manager and Dave Crutchington becomes general manager. Both come from DHL-Excel.

De Lisi steps down

SABMiller non-executive director Nancy De Lisi has stepped down from the board following her retirement from the Altria Group, which has a 28.6% stake in the brewer. Altria has nominated its senior vice-president and chief financial officer Dinyar Devitre to replace De Lisi.

Moberg moves on

Anders Moberg, president and chief executive officer of Dutch retailer Ahold, is leaving the company on 1 July after four years "to pursue other career interests". John Rishton, currently Ahold's chief financial officer, will take on the role of acting president and chief executive officer on Moberg's departure.
