Bedford brewer Charles Wells is trying to keep one step ahead of the competition through packaging innovation. It has already brought out shaped cans for both Bombardier Premium Bitter and Eagle IPA and created a PET bottle with a tap dispenser to allow drinkers to have fresh real ale at home.
