Coca-Cola has regained the top spot in our promotional impact chart, with 14% of independents polled by The Knowledge Store recalling its promotions. Price cuts and bogofs at wholesalers and cash and carries helped the soft drinks brand to beat last month’s winner Walkers crisps.
Cadbury is back in the chart. Bogof, extra free and price cut promotions ensured it took third place in our unprompted promotional recall monitor, mentioned by 7% of independents. Lucozade, at 9% last month, is recalled by 3% fewer this time and shares fourth place with Carling, which edged up 1% this month thanks to a range of cash and carry promotions.
Bogofs at wholesalers and price cuts at cash and carries bring Birds Eye and Andrex into our monitor this time.
