Paula Noble and David Gill opened their Food for Thought delicatessen in Clevedon, North Somerset, in June and have already saved themselves a considerable sum of money by joining The Grocer Club. Before their new venture Paula was an accountant and David was an electrical engineer, so they both knew the sense in searching out the best deal. David said: "We knew how important it was to be adequately insured and obtained a number of quotes. By far the best package was the one offered through the Grocer Club by JLT Retail Services. The company's terms and conditions were clearly spelt out and we had no hesitation in signing the contract." The couple took nine months off work before opening their delicatessen. David said: "We lived off our savings while we examined the potential. "We didn't make a move until we were certain there was a gap in the market." Their initiative has paid dividends as local shoppers have clamoured for freshly made sandwiches, home made paté, local ice cream, Belgian chocolates and other delicacies. {{GROCER CLUB }}
