Cake manufacturer Inter Link Foods has reported a 14% increase in like-for-like sales for the year to end May 7.

The group also revealed that turnover had increased 40.9% to £98.1m, while pre-tax profits had increased by 14.4% to £4.5m.

Trading for the eight weeks to end July 2 was also strong, with like-for-like sales up 9% and a sales increase of 32%.

Inter Link executive chairman, Alwin Thompson, said that the group remains in a strong position to capture new business opportunities.
