National Magazine Company has launched a major women's site in the UK, while IPC's NME has signed a deal to provide content for Yahoo! National Magazine Company and Women.com Networks have announced the launch of a major new women's site in the UK, uk.women.com. It is the first major online initiative for the National Magazine Company and the site will combine the strengths of 10 of the best magazines in the UK (including Cosmo and Good Housekeeping) with the internet expertise of Women.com ­ a top 50 internet site. It is hoped that the site will become a must' for the growing number of women on the web. Six million women are now online in the UK, 40% of the total online population [Internet User Monitor, October 1999]. nme.com, the UK's leading online music web site, has signed a deal to provide content for Yahoo! UK & Ireland. The agreement will mean that nme.com provides up to the minute news, live reviews and album reviews on Yahoo!'s music section. {{CTN }}
