Kyndal has pledged to move its Isle of Jura single malt whisky up a gear by taking control of the brand's distribution.
The company believes the drink could soon be one of the top 10 players in the market if its decision to handle the brand, currently distributed and marketed by Maxxium, pays off.
"This amicable decision followed a complete review of our internal structure and makes commercial sense," said Glen Gribbon, marketing director at Kyndal.
He said the next couple of months would see new range extensions for Isle of Jura and the first consumer advertising campaign for the brand in four years. The 16 and 21-year-old variants will now be available to the trade direct from Kyndal.
