Sir; Your story last week suggesting that the multiples could face another state probe (p4) is hardly surprising given the antics of some buyers. We were told in The Grocer recently that certain junior purchasing people were acting like "jumped up little Hitlers" and that certainly is my experience. I don't want to be named for fear of being delisted, Mr Editor, but I can tell you that it's certainly not just the big five who occasionally indulge in unseemly bullying tactics. The suggestion that the CEOs back initiatives only for their more junior executives to dismiss them out of hand is not as ridiculous as it sounds. Trouble is, with my size of business, I find it hard to walk away from potential customers. I can only hope that the legally binding code of practice which we have read so much about will really mean something. Worried of Scotland Name and address supplied {{LETTERS }}
