Jack, the newly launched men's magazine, claims to herald a new era in men's magazine publishing as the UK's first ever A5 format men's title. The debut issue, marked Spring/Summer and priced at £2.50, precedes the Autumn/Winter second edition out on August 25. Jack will appear as a monthly title from the November issue onwards, on sale in October. On shelf the magazine will appear alongside GQ, Esquire and Arena. The launch is supported by a £2m marketing campaign featuring national press and radio advertising, as well as heavyweight PR campaign, with coverage appearing in the national press, radio and television. Publisher Ian Thorley said: "This is the perfect time for us to launch Jack ­ the market is crying out for something fresh and exciting. We are focusing our distribution on outlets that perform well for the men's magazine sector and already have superb support across the board from the news trade.
