Age-old biscuit favourite Jammie Dodgers is aiming for a wider audience with "unique" new packaging. Burton's Foods said new resealable Tear and Share' pouches, available from next month, were a first for the sector, made from colourful, eye-catching laminate. The bags have a flat bottom for maximum space usage on shelf and ease of storage both in retail premises and in the home. The 250g packs of Mini Jammie Dodgers, featuring the usual gooey jam between two shortcake biscuits, have an rsp of 99p. Sponsorship of The Cartoon Network until May will support the launch. A spokesman said new figures from Information Resources showed Jammie Dodgers was the 16th largest biscuit brand across all variants and packaging formats with annual sales of more than £16m. {{P&P }}
