Intrepid cyclists are two-thirds of the way towards completing The Great Tour a gruelling cycle around Britain's coastline in aid of grocery charity Caravan.

The cyclists, who set off from Seaton in Devon on 3 July, have been working their way between Ayr and Morecambe this week on stages 36 to 43 of the 64-stage, 6,600km ride. They have so far completed more than 4,000km, with just over 2,000km to go and will finish back at Seaton on 4 September.

Caravan said the cyclists had helped to support their grocery industry colleagues by raising money and awareness for Caravan and had received a fantastic reception at the seaside communities they had passed through and stayed in.
