Danish Crown Group has restructured its worldwide operations in a bid for greater efficiency at the local level. The meat conglomerate has split its operations into a UK division and a continental European and worldwide business as starts to "sharpen up" its brands, marketing, new product development and processing systems. Tulip International UK Bacon md Malcolm Parkinson said: "This is fantastic for the UK. Where we had three separate companies trading separately, we now have just one, which will speed up processes and marketing initiatives and bring great efficiencies." The new British company, Tulip UK Holdings, is headed by Danish Crown chairman Carsten Jakobsen, also vice CE and president international of the Danish Crown Group. Parkinson said: "We will make huge saving on logistics as we consolidate operations, and will be looking at making new acquisitions and building extra facilities. "Our agenda is very broad, there are no no-go areas." {{NEWS }}
