Secondary wholesaler John Wharton Meats is to be renamed Angliss (UK) when md John Wharton retires at the end of March. Ian Kelly, a fellow member of the board, will take the helm at the Angliss International owned company from April. Wharton started out with his own cow boning company in 1973, before going on to found John Wharton in 1981. This business was acquired by Angliss International in mid-1999.
