Kwik Save has revealed it is to refit another 25 stores before Christmas as part of its aggressive regeneration scheme, after opening its first revamped London store in Canning Town.

The 8,000 sq ft store is the 40th out of Kwik Save’s 656-store portfolio to receive a makeover, which includes a new fresh and chilled offering, a delicatessen and a hot food counter featuring a rotisserie. It is also testing a new non-food range from German clothing to kitchenware retailer Tchibo.

Kwik Save MD Robin Whitbread said the regeneration stores were experiencing a 27.8% average sales uplift.
