Kwik Save is rolling out digital kiosks dispensing cash, vouchers and other services to most of its 184 stores.

The booths act as non fee-charging cash machines and also offer mobile phone downloads, digital photo-printing and free wireless internet access.

The kiosks are being supplied by Felix Corporation, which is discussing similar ventures with retailers such as convenience stores, CTNs and forecourts.

Felix said that Kwik Save had been the first major retailer to embrace Max Box and had signed up to a three-year contract.

The Max Box units also feature Felix's Everyone's a Winner promotion, offering shoppers prizes every time they use the machines, as well as thousands of discounted offers from third party suppliers.

Kwik Save commercial director David Birchall said: "The machine will provide customers with an exciting and innovative range of competitively priced, conveniently accessed products and services."
