Retailers have given the thumbs up to the relaunch of Löwenbräu by Refresh UK. The brand had been brewed by Ushers for the UK. Last year it was bought out by the management which formed Refresh. It changed the name to Löwenbräu Original and moved the brewing of the brand back to Germany. Refresh also supported it with a trade and consumer ad campaign. This has worked and chief executive Rupert Thompson said volume sales have gone up as a direct result of the new listings with major players including Sainsbury and Tesco. "Retailers like what we are doing. It will be a year before we feel the full effects, but things are going better than we hoped." {{DRINKS }}
