Wellbeing Springs is tapping into the growing bottled water market with the national roll out of its Pampara Spring Water brand.
The spring water, which is drawn from a 60 metre deep bore hole in Dax, south-west France, was test-launched last autumn in Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire. It was distributed to forecourts, independent stores and schools, and was supported with a series of local marketing initiatives, including sports activities in 60 schools.
The water brand has been available in France, Spain and the Channel Islands for five years and will be available in the UK in 500ml and 1.5 litre PET bottles (rsp: 49p and 69p respectively). A two-litre format arrives later this year.
Philip Swift, managing director of Wellbeing Springs, said the zero nitrates content gave the water a real point of difference. It was also suitable for babies, he said.
