Cornwall based Ginsters, part of the Samworth Brothers group, began sourcing meat from local firm Jaspers over two years ago. Jaspers now supplies the pasty, sandwich and snack manufacturer with over 10 tonnes of meat per week, which has contributed to Jaspers doubling its production over this period, with its turnover increasing from £6m in 1995 to £13m today. Through its involvement with Ginsters, Jaspers has a smaller customer base, increased sales, reduced risk and a specialist business. Ginsters and its sister company Tamar Foods have also worked with locally based Newlands Farm for the last five years. It supplies Ginsters with 500,000 litres of Cornish milk and cream per year. {{NEWS }}
