National Lottery operator Camelot said that sales from April 1 to December 28 came in at £3.4bn.

Lottery sales from April 1 to June 30 were £1.11bn; for July 1 to September 31, £1.15bn; and from October 1 to December 28, £1.16bn.

Camelot said this was the longest period of sales growth in four years.
