The latest sports drink to hit the grocery trade is hyposport from a company called Performance Strategies (Sport). Hyposport is based on a hypotonic formula (which claims to give speedy rehydration and energy) that has been developed by former Olympic runner Steve Scutt and sports nutritionist Dr Wootton. It comes in orange & pineapple and lemon & lime flavours (rsp £1.25 for 500ml). The drink has already been on sale in the sports trade and the company plans to step up distribution in the multiples and convenience outlets. Scutt said: "Hyposport has long been the official performance enhancing drink of British sports teams. "But we believe it should no longer be exclusive to sporting professionals  and that it will have enormous consumer appeal on the high street." {{P&P }}
