The home worker is the target of a new magazine launched this month. Office@Home, published by Blendon Communications, is aimed at a growing market, with 3.6 million people expected to work from home this year. Office@Home is specifically targeted at managers and professionals who make up 80% of employees who work from home. The glossy, perfect bound title includes information on work and lifestyle issues related to maintaining an office at home. Regular contents include profiles on home workers and companies that encourage working from home, technology updates and advice columns as well as business and finance advice. Other subjects covered range from holidays and travel to fitness and tax issues. Barney Spender, managing editor of Office@Home, says: "Our magazine provides a vital voice for the flourishing home workers market, which is the future for business in the 21st century. "It will guide readers through key issues pertinent to them, helping home workers adjust to, enhance and enjoy their flexible and alternative working environment."
