Marks & Spencer is stepping up its push into China with plans for another store in Shanghai – its fifth store in the city.

The high street giant has agreed terms for a major new store in the City Centre shopping mall.

The news underlines the retailer’s increasingly international stance. Last month M&S announced the hire of Jan Heere as the new chief of its overseas business, with a brief to step up its expansion abroad.
