Manns Original Brown Ale is getting smaller in a bid to attract more consumers. Brand owner Refresh UK hopes to appeal to a wider audience by introducing Manns in 330ml cans. The sweet brown ale sector  which does not include Newcastle Brown  has been in slow decline. Manns accounts for 90% of it. Chief executive Rupert Thompson said: "With 85% of the off-trade ale market sold in cans, we wanted to appeal to more consumers. We expect most incremental sales to come from the brand's heartlands of the north west and the Midlands, but we believe it has a wider, untapped appeal." Four-packs will retail at £2.99. The brand is also sold in 500ml bottles (rsp: £1.19). {{DRINKS }}
