The three-monthly retail market shares have been stable since last month, according to the Monthly Monitor for August, from Seymour. The monitor is based on information from WH Smith Wholesale and shows only minor shifts between certain groups. Independent agents have dipped back below 40 per cent, recording a 39.9 per cent share of the market, while Tesco recorded a 0.1 per cent increase. "Other" agents added 0.2 per cent to bring their share to 15.7 per cent, T&S fell to settle at 3 per cent share and TM Retail recorded a 0.1 per cent increase to finish at 4.3 per cent. There was no movement among the groups for May. Year-on-year, the three-month average movement figures also show little movement. {{CTN }}
