Marsh Supermarkets in the US has reported a 28.6% growth on net income for the recent quarter compared to last year.

Operating income for the 12 weeks ending June 19 grew by 14.1% compared to last year, making this the third quarter in a row to see improved operating income.

Sales in comparable supermarkets and convenience stores were above last year by 3.2%.

The company recently opened a new concept stores called Arthur’s Fresh Market, which is smaller than a Marsh store at 21,000 sq ft. The store focuses on a wider range of fresh options.
