Household and personal care supplier McBride is planning initiatives to improve its competitiveness in “challenging market conditions”.

Releasing the group’s full-year results to end June 30, Miles Roberts, chief executive of McBride, said that McBride would continue to launch initiatives to improve the competitiveness of the company. “More are planned,” he added.

McBride reported a 2.3% increase in operating profits to £31.1m for the period, while sales to the UK were up 8% to £227.4m and group turnover increased by 7.1% to £537.1m.
