Online wholesaler Blueheath has chosen Phil McNally as buying director to tighten up its buying procedures and drive sales.
McNally will be responsible for buying, inventory and stock control, promotional communication and elements of marketing such as PoS material. He replaces Steve Boyce who has moved on outside the company.
McNally was previously trading controller for impulse products at Alldays. Before that he was senior buyer. He worked for the convenience store chain for five years.
Prior to that he worked for the Co-operative Wholesale Society as a buyer for various food and non-food categories.
Speaking about his appointment, he said: "There's a huge opportunity for me to drive turnover, margins and cash profit as well as to make sure procedures run efficiently ­ for example, to ensure deliveries are made on time."
