ANM's primary processor Scotch Premier and added value specialist Yorkshire Premier have both turned in splendid results, by the standards of the chronically narrow margin meat industry, in the year to December 31. Scotch Premier's trading profit more than doubled from £271,000 to £576,000 and Yorkshire Premier advanced strongly from £362,000 to £567,000. In both cases the profit surges came despite slightly reduced turnover reflecting weaker meat prices, the Scotch Premier sales value slipping by £1m to £32.5m, and Yorkshire Premier's from £27.8m to £26.7m. {{M/E MEAT }}
