The major multiples are set to meet government ministers later this month to discuss under-age drink sales.

The government found that in undercover operations earlier this year, 48% of 141 supermarkets tested sold alcohol to under-18s.

The ministers will warn the multiples that they risk losing their licence if they do not take action.
