Coors Brewers has unveiled a new look for Reef to maximise the impact of a £9.5m marketing investment already earmarked for the PPS brand. The updated bottles will be in store from March to coincide with the launch of a new flavour, blackcurrant and raspberry. Coors said several of the multiples, including Asda and Safeway, have already agreed to stock the latest version, which will bring the total range to five. The Grocer last week reported how Coors had pledged to advertise the brand each week during 2003, and a second execution of the Juicy' TV ad went on air this week. Coors' flavoured alcoholic beverages brand director, Warren Langley, said: "Customers and consumers are telling us that they love the new packaging, flavour and ads. They acknowledge that the TV ads are unlike any of the more traditional ones being used by the competition." He added: "Reef is growing three times faster than the category, with rate of sale up 31%." The new addition to the range will be supported by instore PoS material. {{MARKETING }}
