South west c-store chain Conveco is to roll out a new fascia  Localplus  across its estate before its licence to trade under the Alldays name expires in April. Localplus beat off competition from names including Much More, Breeze, Sev'n West and Alltimes and features a predominantly blue and yellow colour scheme. The first store to get the makeover will be in Long Ashton, Bristol. MD Allen Hutchby said: "We are keen to get at least one Localplus up and running by Christmas." He remained confident Conveco would be able to rebrand its 57 stores within the strict timetable. "We've got three signage companies ready to go on this, and we'll be looking at four refits a week to get the job done." He said the group had a "lot to learn" from the Spar stores recently added to its portfolio (The Grocer, October 13, p10), particularly in terms of food to go. These stores will retain the Spar fascia and continue to be supplied by Spar wholesaler Appleby Westward until they are rebranded to the Localplus format. {{NEWS }}
