Russia’s largest retailer has appointed a new supply chain director.

Alexander Ermolenko takes over the role at X5 Retail Group from Dmitriy Ishevskiy, who is leaving the business.

Ermolenko is a former deputy chief executive at rival Russian chain Magnit.

X5 chief executive Andrei Gusev said: “Alexander brings a wealth of supply chain management experience to X5 and I am confident he will enable us to make great strides in our objectives for logistics infrastructure improvement as a driver of the company's efficiency and growth.”
