Newsagents across the UK are finding themselves in the front line of a new circulation war between the Daily Mail and the Express. The Mail has launched a new offensive, offering newsagents cash incentives to encourage Express customers to take the Mail instead. The scheme involves newsagents giving customers a sample copy of the Mail and offering them the opportunity to sign up to a six week discount deal giving them the Mail and Mail on Sunday for £9, at a saving of £10.50. Circulation director Mike Newman said: "If they continue to order the paper for two weeks after the offer then the newsagent gets a £5 bonus per order. We're picking newsagents who do home delivery in areas where the Express is strong, but if others want to get involved they are welcome to give us a ring."
