The Association of News Retailing  the news group of the ACS  has welcomed an announcement that publishers and wholesalers are to agree to facilitate "one wholesale drop per shop" through wholesale rationalisation. Currently news retailers can be forced to take supplies from two or three wholesalers, duplicating delivery charges and the burden of administration. ANR chairman Mike Greene said: "This is the culmination of weeks of work carried out under the chairmanship of the ANR and represents the first true breakthrough from this process. "One of our core concerns has been addressed, and this positive outcome has been reached to the benefit of all news retailers who suffer the inefficiencies of multiple drops." {{NEWS }}
