NFU Scotland has sent a delegation to Brussels this week in a final phase of lobbying ahead of the crucial EU pesticides vote next week.

Union representatives will urge MEPs to adopt amendments limiting the impact of new pesticide regulations on food policy.

Growers fear crop volumes will adversely be affected if proposed pesticide limitations are voted through.

The issue is set to be discussed at a European Parliament plenary meeting in Strasbourg, starting on January 12.
