Indian food entrepreneur Gulum Noon and NFU director general Richard Macdonald led a roll call of food industry figures decorated in the Queen's birthday honours.
Noon runs the huge Noon Foods ethnic ready meals business and is the first Asian president of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Already an MBE, he said he was "delighted" to be made a Knights Bachelor for services to industry.
A number of farming and agricultural heavyweights received recognition, with the NFU's Macdonald made a CBE for services to agriculture. NFU Scotland president Jim Walker was also made a CBE.
Fresh Produce Consortium chief executive Douglas Henderson was made an MBE.
