First Quench has announced a further 200 redundancies as its operational revamp continues. The latest cull will take place over the next six months at head office. A final review of which departments will be in the firing line is still under way. But staff at First Quench owned Thresher, Drinks Cabin Wine Rack and Bottoms Up branches will not be affected. The Nomura-owned chain announced 100 job losses last month as it wound down its home delivery web site www.enjoyment.co.uk. CEO David Williams said: "The move will produce cost, flexibility and capability advantages." The new business is to focus on high street operations and building its Thresher brand. {{NEWS }}
