Grocery retailers are making the most of the summer health opportunity by offering consumers a one-stop shop for holiday remedies.

In The Grocer’s Focus on Summer Health feature this week, a report from Pfizer Consumer Health, reveals that when it comes to summer-focused products such as hay fever and travel sickness remedies, sun tan preparations and insect repellent, supermarkets score over pharmacies on convenience and value.

Tesco, for example, claims its own label suncare sells more than a million bottles a year - almost twice as much volume as Ambre Solaire or Nivea - at prices under a quarter of the branded equivalent.
