Sir; It was with interest I read the various articles and letters about organic foods in last week's issue (The Grocer, February 26). I own an independent store in the north west of Scotland and the demand for organic products is definitely increasing at a rapid pace if only I could get regular, reliable supplies that is. It seems that the wholesalers generally do not deliver beyond the central belt of Scotland (perhaps they think we just eat haggis all the time?). The few that do seem to be more out of stock than in! I am continually frustrated in my search for an alternative, reliable, source of stock for a wide range of goods. Is there anyone out there who can offer a good service to the thousands of people in the Highlands of Scotland who genuinely want to purchase supplies of organic products as part of their regular shopping?
