Oriental Express is launching its first product range for kids.

It has bought into the Scooby-Doo licence to offer the first frozen range which will be endorsed by the cartoon canine sleuth.

Hitting freezers from January, the range will include seven microwaveable meals containing ingredients like fish fingers, baked beans and Scooby-shaped potatoes.

A range of four pasta dishes will also feature and all the meals will carry an rsp of £1.49, although the first two months of launch will be backed by price deals.

Marketing director Michaela Blunden said she expected the range to generate sales of at least £7m in the first year of the three-year licensing deal with Warner Bros.
