US scientists may have found a link between a chemical used in food packaging and breast cancer.

Scientists from Tuftus University School of Medicine in Boston found that the chemical bisphenol-A (BPA) affected the development of hormone sensitive breast tissue in mice.

BPA is used in plastic food containers and research suggests that low concentrations can be absorbed in the human body.
